Premier League football shirts are released every season and once again with the start of the English football season the top teams are revealing this years designs to the world. Football is massive in this country and everyone wants to get the latest kits. Fans want to be part of their club and for this reason,?2011-12 football shirts will be selling out all around the country as we speak. However, does it really matter if a team produces a hideous swirl of colours with a club crest plastered on top or a well designed modern piece of sports wear? I think it should, we should be buying the best kits and avoiding worst. I've taken a look at this years football shirts and have named and shamed the worst design and given plaudits to the best design.
This season, the award for the worst football shirt goes to the new 2011-12?Bolton home shirt?from Reebock, narrowly beating off stiff competition from the?the Newcastle United away shirt. Where do I start with the new Bolton home kit? It is white, black and red with angular patterns and a hideous 188 Bet sponsor logo with an orange blob on the 188 text. Camiseta del Malaga 2012 , It quite frankly looks like schizophrenia on a shirt. tienda de camisetas de futbol , The colours all clash and the jarring angular lines coupled with the child like orange blob do not work together at all. If the designers wanted something unique then they have achieved that but unique is not always good. Initially I thought the base pattern was to blame with all these angular lines but the new Bolton away shirt uses the same base pattern with only Black and yellow colours (plus the 188 blob is in white, so its less nauseating to look at) which transforms this shirt into a decent looking bit of sports wear. ?
The best looking football kit is tough to pick with a few decent contenders including the Liverpool away shirt, the Manchester United away shirt and the Manchester City away shirt but the winner for me has to go to the new 2011-12 Manchester City home shirt?from Umbro's tailored by Umbro range. Yes, the design is simple and its the traditional Man City sky blue colour, so its not particularly unique but the style oozes from the small details. The collar is particularly smart with a V-necked white design with an extra piece of blue and white material to give it a real mod feel. Then there is the soundwave pattern running through the Man City jersey. It is a sound capture of the Man City fans singing their anthem, Blue Moon. Now, I know it doesn't add a whole lot to the actual look of the shirt but wearing it knowing that the Man City anthem is part of the shirt is quite a cool idea. As it is part of the tailored by Umbro range it is also a very well fitted shirt and looks more like a fashion item than a football shirt in some respects (well, if you take away the club crest and sponsor logo from the front!). ?
